Changes are afoot in the pay and display arena. I’m not just talking about the arrival of new coins and notes. There are new products, new software and new relationships that are bringing a fresh approach to the market.
An international partnership
In 2017, German manufacturer Hectronic and my company, InaParc Ltd, formed a new partnership in the UK market. With the help of InaParc Ltd, Hectronic is rolling out its tailor-made Citea parking ticketing machine across the UK – combining local knowledge with engineering expertise.
Having supplied pay and display equipment, parts and servicing for nearly a decade, InaParc Ltd has become a specialist in offering fast and cost-effective solutions for all machine types. Our team has developed a close relationship with Hectronic. Having spent time with the Hectronic engineering and development teams in Germany and Poland, we have strived to gain a full understanding of the product range – including the new Citea.
Modern machine for modern challenges
The range of features offered by the Citea, from flexible payment methods to comprehensive communication options, make it a prime solution for a variety of metering settings. The features of this machine have been included to meet the whole range of modern requirements and challenges.
Dependent on individual requirements, the Citea can be configured to accept coins, bank notes, credit or smart card payments and even contactless payments via mobile phone. This variety and flexibility means revenue can be optimised in any location, no matter the setting.
Fitted with a solar panel, the Citea’s energy efficient operation is in keeping with Hectronic’s EcoDesign concept, ensuring the environmental impact of each machine is kept to a minimum. Not only does this approach aid in the reduction of running costs, but such mains-free operation further benefits users in that the machine can be installed in more remote locations with ease, and down-time can be avoided.
It also boasts high-security cash vaults as standard. This ensures that earnings are safeguarded against theft and vandalism, whilst customer-specific locks guarantee individual access security. On top of this, coin validators and electronic coin shutters provide protection against counterfeit money and attempted manipulation.
